
Simon Slavicek scored a pair of goals as the Flint Firebirds doubled up the Owen Sound Attack 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Nolan Dann, Zacharie Giroux, Gavin Hayes and Nathan Aspinall also scored for Flint (6-6-1), which extended its point-streak to four-games.
Cedrick Guindon scored twice for the Attack (6-6-1), and Deni Goure added a goal.
Nathan Day made 21 saves in the win, while Carter George stopped 20 taking the loss. Corbin Votary entered the game in the third period, handling all four shots he faced.
Flint outshot Owen Sound 30-24 while going 2 for 2 on the power play; Owen Sound finished 0 for 4.
