The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate in relation to an incident in the Town of Collingwood that took place earlier this week.
Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence in the Town of Collingwood on October 15, 2023, in regards to a disturbance.
During the course of the investigation, an involved party suffered injuries which led to the SIU invoking its mandate.
As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide any further information.
