
Dom was dominant.
The Owen Sound Sound Attack fell 2-1 in a shootout to the North Bay Battalion in Ontario Hockey League preseason action Sunday afternoon at North Bay Memorial Gardens.
Dom DiVincentiis made 54 saves, and also denied all three shooters he faced in the shootout to help the Battalion to the win.
Stef Forgione scored North Bay’s lone goal in regulation; Kaleb Lawrence struck for the Attack.
Corbin Votary and Carter George shared duties in the Attack crease. Votary stopped all 12 shots he faced in 27 minutes of work, while George allowed one goal on 19 shots.
The Attack outshot North Bay 55-33 while going 0 for 3 on the power play; the Battalion finished 0 for 2.
Next up for Owen Sound is a home preseason game against the Barrie Colts, but it won’t be at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. The Attack are hosting the Colts in Hanover next Wednesday, Sept. 20.
