The Owen Sound Attack fell 3-0 to the Barrie Colts in their Ontario Hockey League preseason opener Monday evening at Sadlon Arena.
Cole Beaudoin scored twice, and Jaiden Newton added a goal for the Colts.
Ben West and Nolan Chartrand combined to make 35 saves, blanking the Attack. Owen Sound pushed in the third period, outshooting Barrie 21-6.
Corbin Votary and Carter George shared the load in the Attack crease. Votary made 16 saves, while George stopped all seven shots that came his way.
The Attack outshot Barrie 35-26 while going 0 for 3 on the power play; the Colts finished 1 for 7.
Next up for Owen Sound in preseason action is a trip to North Bay on Sunday, Sept. 10.
