Expect to see a strong police presence and road checkpoints in Wasaga Beach, starting Wednesday.
It’s part of a plan to head off what officials call an unsanctioned vehicle rally during the upcoming long weekend.
In the past, hundreds of souped up cars have invaded the town, with some drivers partying and doing stunts in local parking lots.
After complaints about damage, noise, and rowdy behavior, the town and the OPP came up with a plan to stop such rallies, before they happen.
