Wasaga Beach is putting up $100 thousand to attract family physicians to set up practice in the town.
The financial incentive would be paid to up to four doctors, spread out over four years, and the money comes from the town’s share of revenue from the Playtime Casino.
This is in addition to a new community medical centre and after-hours clinic scheduled to open in the fall.
It will provide zero overhead office space to family doctors looking to set up shop.
