A free, two-day music festival is returning to downtown Goderich.
The Downtown Goderich Business Improvement Area (BIA) is hosting the Sunset Music Festival, beginning Friday night on the downtown performance stage.
BIA Manager David McKechnie says the opening of the festival will feature youth bands.
“That was something we wanted to start last year, and we didn’t have a lot of luck getting young bands,” McKechnie tells Country 104.9 News.
“The youth spotlight is something we’re really enthusiastic about, because there just aren’t a lot of young bands around.”
Twelve hours of music will follow on Saturday, beginning at 11:00 a.m..
“We have a stellar line-up of ten bands,” McKechnie tells us.
“The [Goderich] Flyers will have a bar or beer tent area set up… it’s a fundraiser for their ’23-’24 season.”
The Sunset Music Festival will also feature food trucks, and runs Friday and Saturday in downtown Goderich.
