Speeding was the top infraction cited by Huron County OPP, during the Civic Long Weekend.
OPP and Marine Units conducted a long weekend traffic campaign between August 4th and 7th, focusing on traffic moving over for emergency vehicles and tow trucks, as well as the “Big Four” which include: distracted driving, alcohol/drug impaired driving, speeding/aggressive driving, and lack of seatbelts.
108 charges were laid, including:
- 81 speeding charges,
- 3 stunt driving charges,
- 1 charge under the Cannabis Control Act
