Grey Bruce OPP’s Marine Unit was busy over the weekend.
The unit responded to a total of 8 calls from all over the region between July 28th and 30th.
The calls ranged from requests for help locating two missing children on Sauble Beach, and the children were found safe on the beach.
Police also responded to calls regarding disabled vehicles, and were able to get everyone involved back to the shore safely.
The OPP received a call about a group of 7 paddleboarders out near Tobermory, but none of them were wearing lifejackets.
Police are reminding everyone that lifejackets and sounding devices are required when paddleboarding to prevent accidental drownings.
