Huron County Council took time out of their meeting on July 5th to recognize long-serving members of the county’s staff.
During a ceremony to start off the meeting, each department celebrated members of staff who were celebrating milestone anniversaries of service, ranging from 10 years to 50 years with Huron County.
That also included five department heads: Director for the Homes for the Aged Connie Townsend, and Treasurer and Director of Financial Services Michael Blumhagen were marking 20 years, and Director of Human Resources Lara Vanstone was marking 16 years.
Sandra Weber, the Director of Planning & Development, celebrated her 25th anniversary with the county.
Beth Rumble, the County Librarian and Director of Cultural Resources, has been with the county for 10 years.
Each department head was also able to recognize members of staff from within their departments as well.
