The Tom Thomson Art Gallery is launching a new exhibition today, June 24th, titled ‘Field of Vision’.
The new showcase features a rare collection of Tom Thomson’s photographs.
Fifty years after his death, Tom Thomson’s niece, Jessie Fisk discovered a small bundle of film negatives that captured the artist during the last seven years of his life.
After Fisk had them printed, she was able to see a glimpse into his life, including people he was close to, the wildlife he was able to encounter, and the environments where he lived.
The exhibition will run until Saturday, September 2nd.
The gallery is also hosting a Sip and See event on Wednesday, July 5th from 5-7 pm.
The event is free with a cash bar and light snacks.
