Orillia OPP have charged two people who were attempting to flee police custody while they were being arrested for outstanding warrants.
Early Friday evening, police were called to a business on Colborne Street, and found that the two reported male suspects were both known to police and had warrants.
During the arrest, one officer sustained minor injuries after an altercation.
Both individuals were arrested.
One 28-year-old man from Orillia is now facing charges of failure to comply with a probation order, as well as escaping lawful custody, assault with intent to resist arrest, and resisting a peace officer.
The second suspect, a 33-year-old man from Barrie, is charged with resisting a peace officer.
