Hanover kicked off its Music in the Square summer concert series and celebrated new changes to Heritage Square.
The town received financial support from the federal government’s Tourism Relief Fund, which is part of the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, to complete the enhancements.
The updates are meant to promote activity, pride, and inclusion.
The enhancements were focused on a new stage cover for the amphitheatre, pride benches, and holiday light displays.
There was a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, June 11th, which also kicked off the Music in the Square concert series. It is a series of free performances throughout the summer season, presented by Hanover’s Cultural Roundtable and Downtown Hanover.
Everyone’s invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music while also supporting local shops and restaurants.
This summer’s concert line-up includes:
– Al Crawford, June 25th
– Lisa McEwan w/Rick Fairburn, July 9th
– Assorted Affair, July 23rd
– James Skarnikat w/Bryan Lamont, August 13th
– Tandem, August 27th
