In partnership with the County of Simcoe, the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking to rehouse 61 Ukrainian nationals currently living in a repurposed Long-Term Care facility. This facility is set to close on June 30, and the community’s help is needed to find permanent, affordable housing for these individuals and families.
How you can help:
Housing Identification: They are currently in need of the following housing in Barrie or surrounding areas (within Simcoe County)
2-bedroom apartments
1-bedroom apartments
Full houses
Volunteer Opportunities: They are also in search of volunteers with trucks or larger vehicles to help move the residents into their new homes in June.
Furniture Donations: They are seeking new or gently used furniture donations to help furnish these homes.
