Meaford 15 Bears 4
In tonight’s season opener, the Meaford Leeky Canoe took on the Bad News Bears in Desboro. Both teams came out hard, but Meaford prevailed. The Bears pitcher Emily McAdam threw the entire game striking out 8 through 5 innings. Maddison Parrish pitched for the Leeky Canoe allowing only 4 runs against.
Desboro Royals 12 Allenford Aces 5
The Desboro Royals kicked off their season with a 12-5 win over The Allenford Aces. Kollby Kruger allowed 3 hits and had 4 strikeouts, with Maddy Moore coming In for relief. The Royal’s Shae Nelson belted a triple with lone hits to Jess Brookshaw, Jenna Ethier and Moore. Allenford’s top batters were Rennie Brown with a 3-RBI double and Nicole Yeo. Cassie Carter and Kinsey Carter shared the mound for the Aces.
