U13 Girls
The U13 Legacy Ridge Golf Club girls’ field lacrosse team travelled to Guelph for the Early Bird 3 Game Tournament. The girls faced Oshawa enduring a hard loss of 11-2. Goals scored by Avery Thompson and Scarlett Stevenson. Heading into game 2, the girls were learning to navigate the new rule changes and started to come together as a team. They faced Halton Hills losing 5-1. Goal scored by Ella Todd. Rallying into Game 3, the girls worked hard winning 6-5 over Orangeville. Goals by Ella Todd (4), Hailey Frede (1) and Avery Thompson. The Team is looking forward to starting their regular season May 28th at RIM Park in Kitchener.
U11 Girls
The sun made an appearance on Sunday morning, just in time for the U11 Ron Hopper Real Estate girls lacrosse team to travel to Guelph for a pre-season early bird tournament! Our first game against Toronto Beaches saw a 6-6 tie. Quinn Norton (2 goals), Keeva Fox (2), Tessa Matheson (1) and Adele Ferguson (1) all scored and Lyla Doyle made 4 assists. A huge shout out to Isla Nickel who made a big game saving save. The second game against Guelph was a close 6-5 loss. Goals by Adele (2), Quinn (1), Atayvia Jackson (1) and Avery Brooks (1) kept us close. The final game against Orillia saw our North Stars win 15-3. Goals by Keeva (5), Hanna Carr (4), Quinn (2), Adele (2), Lyla (1) and Sophie Burnett-Scott (1). Amazing first outing girls! Regular season begin next weekend in Kitchener
