A 60 year old has been charged, after crashing into a commercial building in Clinton.
OPP say they were called to Mill Street, after an SUV collided with the front of the building and causing considerable damage to the front entrance area.
Witnesses reportedly saw the driver leave the scene in the damaged SUV, which was later located by police.
Officers say the driver was found to be impaired by alcohol, and a 60 year old from Central Huron has been charged with:
- Dangerous Operation,
- Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while Impaired – Over 80
- Failing to Remain
- Failing to Report
- Driving a Motor Vehicle – no licence
The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 26th, in Goderich.
