The Kincardine Centre for the Arts will be hosting the Welcome Centre this week.
On Friday, May 19th starting at 9 am, the doors for the Welcome Centre are open to the public until September 4th.
From Tuesday to Saturday between 9 and 5, residents and visitors can learn more about local attractions, merchandise, and more, including information about the Downtown Dig.
There will be a grand opening on Saturday the 20th at 11 am with a ribbon cutting featuring Mayor Kenneth Craig and the BIA’s mascot Blinky.
There will also be one of three Legacy of Hope exhibits on display this season in partnership with the Legacy of Hope Foundation.
The foundation is a national Indigenous organization that works to create awareness about residential schools and inspire action towards reconciliation.
The Welcome Centre is at 707 Queen Street, in downtown Kincardine.
