The Paramedic Services Committee for Bruce County has approved the purchase of five Autopulse Automated CPR Machines.
The devices are expected to be paid for using COVID funding, with any overages covered by the Paramedic Services reserves.
The total cost for the AutoPulse machines is expected to be $98,476 plus HST.
The Committee also approved that the Autopulse Automated CPR machines be single-sourced to Zoll Medical Canada, as the currently used defibrillators are provided by the same company.
The Zoll AutoPulse also uses what it calls “ShockSync” technology, and the technologies work together to wirelessly calculate when the heartbeat is best able to respond to treatment.
