Hanover Police have arrested and charged a man after he allegedly fled a police stop.
Police Chief Christopher Knoll says on social media, night shift officers arrested a 38-year-old West Grey man after he fled in a vehicle when police attempted to stop him.
Police say he stopped, exited his vehicle and engaged officers in a foot pursuit through a residential neighbourhood.
According to police, the suspect was caught hiding in a backyard.
Police say the man was remanded into custody at his bail hearing facing charges that included driving while prohibited, three counts of breach of release order, and three counts of breach of probation among other charges, according to police.
They say the vehicle he was driving was impounded for 45 days.
