
A 43-year-old Hamilton man faces multiple charges after a disturbance at Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation.
According to the OPP, Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation Police arrested an individual after an incident on Wednesday prompted an increased police presence.
Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation Police and Grey Bruce OPP responded to a disturbance involving a weapon on Kaikaiknong Crescent around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
OPP say members of the West Region Emergency Response Team, canine unit, and tactics and rescue were mobilized but cancelled after officers on scene brought the suspect into custody.
The 43-year-old Hamilton man was charged with several offences, including assault cause bodily harm and possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
