Development activity slowed in Grey Highlands in the first quarter this year.
During a meeting on April 19, council received a report from Chief Building Official Debbie Anderson for information.
The report details the number of permits and total construction value of residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, agriculture, septic permits, demolitions, change of use, revisions, and other property types.
Overall, the municipality has seen a decline in the amount of permits received for this quarter.
To date, the municipality has so far received 52 permits, with nine residential received in March.
Compared to the previous year, however, the municipality is noticeably falling behind as for the first three months of 2022, the municipality received a total of 92 permits.
The majority of the permits received this year so far have come from residential, with a mix of detached homes, additions and renovations.
This was followed by agriculture buildings, with three permits requested for new buildings in March.
