AEMHA Icedogs to OMHA Championships in Barrie
The Arran-Elderslie U13 Icedogs are the WOAA Tier 2 Gregg Division Champions.
After a 16-1-1 regular season, the Icedogs were bumped up from Tier 3 to Tier 2 for the playoff round.
In the round robin portion of playoffs, the Icedogs went 6-1-1 to win their pool and face the Drayton Defenders in the Championship.
The Icedogs won the 4 point series in 2 games, defeating the Defenders 9-5 in game 1, and 3-0 in game 2.
Arran-Elderslie plays Friday at 8:15 am against Woodville and then again Friday afternoon at 1:45 pm against the South Huron Sabres.
The results of those games determine when the Icedogs will play on Saturday.
All games on Saturday are elimination games.

After a 19-0-1 regular season, the Icedogs were bumped up from Tier 3 to Tier 2 for the playoff round.
In the round robin the Icedogs finished 8-0-0 and moved into a 3 team final where they played single games against Drayton Defenders and Minto Mad Dogs.
The Icedogs dropped their game in Drayton 3-0, but came back to beat Minto 4-2 and finish second as the WOAA finalist for the OMHA championship.
The U11’s kick off at 8:15 Friday morning against Sturgeon Lake, then Friday afternoon at 2:15 they’ll play the Stirling Blues, & then wrap up pool play against the Wallaceburg Lakers at 8:15 am Saturday morning.
The Icedogs need to finish in the top 2 in their pool to move onto the playoff round.
