OPP say they have arrested a Paisley man in relation to a child luring and pornography investigation.
Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the OPP say on March 15th, police received a call involving information about a male suspect being in the possession of various forms of child pornography from conversations with a minor.
OPP say as their investigation continued, it was learned the male suspect was attempting to lure the victim using various methods.
The Huronia West OPP Crime Unit took hold of the investigation, and a suspect was identified where various search warrants were written and executed at the suspect’s home.
Police say various evidentiary items were seized for forensic analysis including a cell phone and tablet.
As a result of the investigation, a 21 year-old man from Paisley, who police did not name, has been arrested and criminally charged with the following:
– Transmit sexually explicit material to a person under 16 years of age
– Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication
– Possession of Child Pornography
