Hanover Police are investigating a distraction theft after the victim was approached in a parking lot.
Police say the victim was placing groceries in her car Saturday afternoon when the suspect, a woman in her 50s, approached asking for directions to the hospital.
After providing directions, they parted ways, but police say the victim soon realized her wallet was stolen.
In addition to that, Hanover police say it has since been determined her credit cards were used for several purchases in Hanover.
They are asking anyone with information about the theft to contact Hanover Police Service or Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
