BBBS Bowl For Kids' Sake (Beth Aubrey)
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce is getting ready to hold its annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraiser next month in support of its programs.
Executive Director Beth Aubrey says this 43rd annual event will be held at three bowling alleys across Grey and Bruce, as well as Western Simcoe.
The event will be held at the bowling alley in Owen Sound between April 13 and the 15, in Collingwood on April 20, and in Port Elgin on April 21, with winners announced on April 25 via Zoom and on their social media channels.
“Last year we raised just over $30,000 and all of those funds go directly towards our in-school programs that run across our different counties and a number of group programs that we have started developing recently,” says Aubrey.
Aubrey adds they are aiming to raise $35,000 from this year’s event.
“As a growing agency, this year we are expanding into a whole new county. We receive the vast majority of our funds from fundraisers and community support,” says Aubrey. “It really is the dedication of community members that make this event possible and make all of our programs and services possible.”
Registration for the event can be found here.
Additionally, the organization will also be holding a silent auction fundraiser from April 6 – 22, with more details posed on the Big Brothers Big Sisters website here closer to the date.
