Tree removal is expected to begin this week for a major road project in Barrie.
The Bryne Drive south extension will eventually link Harvie Road and Caplan Avenue.
Utility relocation work has already started, and construction of a new roadway with bike lanes and sidewalks will begin soon.
If all goes according to plan, the road will open to traffic sometime in 2024.
