There were no injuries, but a large cottage was destroyed by fire Sunday night near Peninsula Road in Gravenhurst.
The structure was fully involved when crews arrived, and Gravenhurst Fire says difficult access to the property and its topography made the job difficult for the 30 fire fighters who responded.
Crews pumped water from Muldrew Lake to help douse the flames. The investigation is ongoing but the cause is not considered suspicious.
