Huron Hospice was able to update council on their fundraising efforts.
When addressing council on Monday evening, Huron Hospice Executive Director Willie Van Klooster, and Board Chair Jay McFarlan, were able to let council know that the group has met their $1.6 million fundraising goal.
The Town of Goderich was the first municipality to donate $15,000 to the fundraising efforts, which according to Van Klooster, motivated other municipalities to also donate.
