Grey Bruce OPP have shared some details about an incident that prompted a large police presence just outside of Owen Sound last Friday.
Provincial Police say they were called to a domestic dispute in the Municipality of Meaford around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 20.
OPP asked people to avoid the area of Concession 11 and Superior Street, southeast of Owen Sound, in a social media post Friday afternoon.
In a statement, Grey Bruce OPP say it was revealed during the course of the dispute one involved person had made threats toward another while in possession of a weapon.
This prompted a large police response.
Police say a 51-year-old female from Meaford was arrested just after 11 p.m. Friday evening.
She was charged with uttering threats — cause death or bodily harm.
