Two officers were allegedly assaulted, following a R.I.D.E. stop near Walton.
OPP say a driver failed a breath test during a stop at the Blyth Road and Brussels Line, and was placed under arrest.
According to police, the driver resisted arrest, and kicked two officers and a police cruiser with their steel-toe boots.
The driver was eventually placed into the rear of the cruiser and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton for further breath tests and processing, OPP say.
A 34 year old London man is facing six charges, including:
- Operation while Impaired
- Operation while Impaired – Over 80
- Assault Peace Officer (two counts)
- Resist Peace Officer
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
