Caledon OPP are investigating multiple vehicle thefts in the area.
Police are also saying that a commonly-targeted vehicle in this most recent series of thefts appears to be Dodge Ram pickup trucks, typically the models from 2020-2023.
OPP say that on many occasions, thieves are seen observing neighbourhoods prior to the thefts taking place to record vehicle identification numbers and disable alarms.
They also say that the thefts typically take place between 2 and 5 am.
To keep your vehicle safe, police are reminding everyone to make sure vehicle keys aren’t kept near doors or windows, as it makes them vulnerable to having fob information being read and replicated by a computer.
If you can’t park your vehicle in a garage, then a steering wheel lock or a car alarm is recommended.
