A Thorndale man picked an obvious place to be discovered for impaired driving in South Huron.
Police say they were called to the LCBO location in Kirkton, and found an SUV in the parking lot with a man behind the wheel unconscious.
Officers say they awoke the man, who they suspected to be impaired, and arrested him.
According to reports, suspected fentanyl was found, and the license plates on the vehicle were stolen from London.
A 34 year old Thorndale man is facing nine charges, including:
- Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs,
- Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000,
- Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000,
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order – (two counts),
- Possession of Schedule I Substance – Opioid,
- Fail to Comply with Release Order,
- Operation while Prohibited (two counts).
