The Owen Sound Attack erased a pair of two-goal deficits to force overtime, but couldn’t finish off the Barrie Colts.
Ethan Cardwell scored on a 2-on-0 rush just 41 seconds into the extra frame, as the Colts shaded the Attack 6-5 in Ontario Hockey League action Tuesday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
The Attack (21-14-4-1) had their three-game winning streak snap, but picked up at least a point for a fourth straight game.
Barrie (23-10-4-2) won its fifth in a row.
Brandt Clarke scored twice, while Beau Jelsma and Connor Punnett also added goals for Barrie.
Ethan Burroughs had two for the Attack, while Colby Barlow, Cedrick Guindon and Nolan Seed added singles.
Barlow’s marker extended his goal-scoring streak to eight-games.
Next up for the Attack is a trip to London on Friday to face the Knights.
