Hanover Police say an Owen Sound man is facing 65 criminal charges following an internal theft investigation.
Police say a lengthy investigation was completed after receiving a complaint in April of thefts and frauds from a local business.
Police add the investigation determined a former employee was swindling money totalling over $175,000 from the business where they were employed for several years.
As a result, police say the 55-year-old accused is facing 47 counts of theft under $5,000, five counts of theft over $5,000, five counts of fraud over $5,000, six counts of forgery, fraud under $5,000, and criminal breach of trust.
Police say the suspect was released from custody after the arrest and was set to appear in court in Walkerton on Dec. 14.
