South Georgian Bay OPP have charged a man following a domestic incident in Midland.
At around 8 pm on Friday, December 2nd, police were called to a domestic incident at a residence on the east side of Midland.
A man then fled the residence and was believed to be carrying a rifle-style weapon.
OPP then searched the area and were able to find the man around 11:15 on Elizabeth Street.
They also found a knapsack nearby that had the weapon in question, along with controlled substances.
The 37-year-old man is now facing charges of spousal assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, forcible confinement, as well as possession of drugs, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
He was scheduled for a bail hearing on Saturday.
