Collingwood’s integrity commissioner has tossed out a complaint about incoming mayor Yvonne Hamlin.
The complaint was filed after the final meeting of the previous council on Nov. 10.
That council approved a Minister’s Zoning Order for a proposed health and wellness complex in Collingwood’s east end.
Hamlin voted against the M-Z-O approval and indicated that on social media that she’ll be asking the new council to reconsider.
The commissioner found Hamlin did nothing wrong, and questioned why the outgoing council would pass such a motion when its term was ending.
The Integrity Commissioner has thrown out a complaint about my opposition to the old Council’s MZO request. The report supports my position and condemns the lame duck Council’s actions. Council will meet tonight to discuss the MZO and restarting negotiations with the developer. pic.twitter.com/91PT4XEZIh
