The first update on Orangeville’s Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan has been released.
The plan is to help lead the community toward a more sustainable future, responsibly and is a guide for municipal decision-making.
The focus is on the Town’s important assets like its corporate, economic, and social programs.
In 2019 the plan was passed, and its first progress report is available.
It shows the outline of what steps have been taken to strengthen the town and breaks down key aspects of the plan.
Some of the completed actions include energy-efficient lighting installed in town recreational facilities, funding to help more business owners to get more into the digital world, and growth and planning for underutilized lands.
