OPP officers, some in tactical gear, spent several hours Monday at a townhouse complex in Orillia.
Police have not released any details about why they responded around 2 p.m. to the complex just off Highway 11.
Officers closed part of West St. and remained on the scene until approximately 9 p.m. and advised people in the area to stay indoors.
On Twitter, the OPP advised they had concluded the investigation and indicated that more information would be released Tuesday.
