There will be an honour guard for Don Tedford in Hanover Thursday morning.
The former Director of Development for Hanover also worked part-time recently for South Bruce Peninsula in the capacity of Chief Building Official.
He was running in the municipal election for mayor of South Bruce Peninsula when he passed away on Saturday.
Those who would like to pay their respects are asked to be in place along 10th Street in front of the Hanover Civic Centre and clock tower by 8: 25 Thursday morning (Oct 20). A release from the Town says those attending should populate the south side of 10th Street with overflow on the north side of 10th Street in this area. They ask that you park in alternate locations other than the clocktower parking lot.
Tedford will be transported by Mighton Funeral Home past the Civic Centre, turning into the clocktower parking lot and pausing, prior to making his way to Owen Sound.
The procession will be led by Hanover Police Service and Hanover Fire Department from the funeral home to the town limits, taking 7th Avenue north.
