1) Why are you running?
I am running because I wish to see transparency and continuity within our Municipality. While being an active member withing our Community I wish to see growth and unity and that I can be a voice for our Residents.
2) Are there any steps municipalities can take to help ease cost of living concerns?
The cost of living is increasing amongst our Nation, and I feel that this is more than just a Municipal concern. However, we would ease the impact by minimizing the increase in Taxes and introducing more affordable housing with our Municipality.
3) What are your ideas for economic development in your municipality?
I believe that if we promote the growth of our community beyond being a Tourist destination and increase the shoulder Season we can increase the growth of economic development within our Community. In order for this to happen we need to liaise with our local Business owners as they are an integral part of our Community and its growth.
4) Do you think the municipality has a role to play in the recruitment and retention of physicians and other healthcare workers?
There is a healthcare crisis Nation Wide. I would like to work with the Province, Federal Government and Ontario Medical Associations Board of Directors to discuss what we can do, to recruit and entice New Grads, Physicians and Medical Staff to our area.
5) Do you support the approval of a proposed land based Fish Farm in the Wiarton area?
With the information that is available at this time I cannot support the proposed land based Fish Farm.
6) What are your views on beach maintenance and parking in Sauble Beach?
Beach maintenance and parking is an ongoing issue within Sauble Beach. I believe that a Beach management plan is necessary and by working with the Ministry, Grey Sauble Conversation Authority and local Community groups we can find a solution to maintain the beach, preserve habitat and remove the barricades from Lakeshore Blvd which will improve the parking amongst that area.
