1) Why are you running?
I have been told for years that I should be in politics but what prompted me most is where our tax dollars are being spent and are they the best areas for all of our tax payers, I know you can never make everyone completely happy but if a person can live with a decision and walk away sometimes that is the only answer. I do know it will be a big learning curve and I have a lot of listening to do prior to forming an educated opinion. Some important issues are affordable housing, good roads, a safe place for our family and kids to work and play.
2) Are there any steps municipalities can take to help ease cost of living concerns?
Not to raise taxes, being responsible with the townships budget. Helping our seniors and families where possible with affordable housing and services.
3) What are your ideas for economic development in your municipality?
I believe drawing attention to our lakeshore and towns through new business , bringing attention to the multiple programs available to start these new business and by the municipality taking down any roadblocks in the way.
4) Do you think the municipality has a role to play in the recruitment and retention of physicians and other healthcare workers?
Very much so, we need these professionals in our communities and anyway possible the township can afford to help then they should. Our parents , grandparents and great grandparents built something great for all of us and it would be a shame to let our healthcare system diminish even further, we have an obligation to provide this service to our community .
