The Ontario Divisional Court has dismissed an application by Orillia Councillor Jay Fallis to have a judge review a decision that he breached the city’s code of conduct.
Fallis was docked 45 days pay, after an investigation by the city’s integrity commissioner determined that he shared confidential documents with a lawyer without council’s consent.
Fallis was ordered to pay 75 hundred dollars in legal costs to the city.
In a news release, the city says it cost approximately 120 thousand dollars to defend against the application for judicial review.
