A call for emergency supply teachers at public schools in Huron County has grown.
The Avon Maitland District School Board put out the call for Local Level Emergency Teachers in June at seven schools.
Now, that call has expanded to eleven schools:
- Exeter ES
- South Huron District HS
- Maitland River
- FE Madill SS
- Bluewater Coast ES (Hensall)
- Clinton PS (Clinton)
- Howick Central PS (Gorrie)
- Hullett Central PS (Londesborough)
- Huron Centennial PS (Brucefield)
- Seaforth PS (Seaforth)
- Stephen Central PS (Dashwood)
The AMDSB says the teachers needed are not certified by the Ontario College of Teachers.
The teachers would, however, have a work background that reasonably supports their use for coverage purposes in emergency situations.
