
The emergency department at the Kincardine Hospital will be temporarily closed overnight Friday.
South Bruce Grey Health Centre says it will close at 5 p.m. tonight and re-open at 7 a.m. Saturday.
The hospital organization says the closure is due to a shortage of nurses.
The closest emergency departments to the Kincardine Hospital are in Walkerton, Southampton and Goderich.
This is the latest in a series of recent temporary emergency department closures or service reductions at South Bruce Grey Health Centre hospitals because of a staff shortage.
The emergency department at the Chesley Hospital closed Thursday night and won’t re-open until Tuesday, Sept. 27.
South Bruce Grey Health Centre also recently slashedsl overnight hours at the Chesley Hospital indefinitely, ending a brief period when it tried to resume 24/7 service.
