An apartment building in Owen Sound’s west side had to be temporarily evacuated yesterday due to a fire.
City firefighters were called to Victoria Towers at 825 9th Street West for a cooking fire in a unit Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters were on scene just after 2 p.m.
One person was transported to hospital for assessment.
Owen Sound Fire Captain Wayne Flood says all residents were allowed back into the building within 30 minutes, aside from those who live on the second floor of the building who had to wait a little longer for smoke to clear.
