
United Way of Perth-Huron announces fundraising target of $2.289M for 2022.
The United Way of Perth-Huron is looking to raise $2,289,671 in their 2022 fundraising campaign.
Officials unveiled their campaign target this weekend at town’s throughout Huron and Perth counties.
Executive Director Ryan Erb says the United Way is continuing to focus on the “unignorable issues.”
“We are working hard to address issues like homelessness, mental health, and access to services in Goderich and all the surrounding areas in Huron County,” Erb says.
“Things we want to bring into the light, so people pay attention to the challenges that people in our community are facing.”
In the 2021-22 campaign, the United Way of Perth-Huron exceeded their fundraising target, reaching $2,236,904.
Erb tells Country 104.9 News the demand for services funded by the United Way has increased.
“Unfortunately, the pandemic has created a little more of a gap between those who have, and those who don’t.”
