Central Huron Mayor Jim Ginn says he was intrigued by discussions regarding homelessness at this week’s conference for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.
Ginn says that one presenter at the conference talked about how housing is built to only deal with natural growth, but not newcomers such as temporary residents.
He says that any sessions regarding homelessness were very popular, meaning it was an issue that was top-of-mind for many mayors in attendance.
