Huron County Council has approved a bid from a London-based builder for the construction of a pair of triplexes in Goderich.
The triplexes are to be built at 33 and 47 Bennett Street in Goderich at a total cost of just over $2.1 million (total $2,116,608).
The new buildings would each have two one-bedroom supportive housing units. For the supportive housing, applicants from the county’s list of individuals who identify as homeless.
Each building will also have a rent-geared-to-income unit as well, in the form of a two-bedroom unit.
The developer chosen for the project is SDI Builders 2010 Ltd.
