
A donation of more than $17,000 to Orillia’s hospital, will enhance care for newborns.
The funding from the Sandra Schmirler Foundation will help purchase equipment crucial to the health and well-being of babies born at Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
The Foundation is named in memory of Hall of Fame Canadian Curler, Sandra Schmirler, who died of cancer in 2000.
It works to ensure babies born prematurely have the best chance to thrive and grow into champions themselves.
Since 2015, the foundation has donated $112,000 to the hospital.
